Lagos Transport Commissioner Takes Redline Rail for a Spin
Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi has led a team of key officials on a trial ride aboard the Redline Rail.
The non-fee paying journey from Ikeja to Agbado marked a crucial step in the testing process, which has been ongoing for six weeks.
With a 90 percent success rate in test runs without passengers, this phase aims to observe passenger behavior and fine-tune operations before the official launch.

The train journeyed from Ikeja to Agbado, making brief stops at Agege and Iju stations, and returned to Ikeja, providing a glimpse into the efficient transportation system soon to be launched.
Key officials, including the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Olawale Musa, and the Managing Director of LAMATA, Engr. Abimbola Akinajo, joined the Commissioner on this exercise, showcasing the state’s commitment to revolutionizing transportation.
This trial phase is a vital step towards understanding passenger needs and optimizing the Redline Rail services.
