Eko Hot Blog reports that Engineer Adekunle Muminu Badmus, has been confirmed as a fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers, NIMechE.
Eko Hot Blog reports that his conferment as a Fellow was approved by the Board of Fellows at its meeting held on the 11th of August, 2022.
It was gathered that the conferment ceremony is slated to hold on Saturday, 24th September 2022 at Function Room 2-4, Lagos Oriental Hotel, 3, Lekki Road, Victoria Island, Lagos
by 11:00 am.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Engineer Badmus who has an arsenal of intimidating cognate experience was appointed by the Lagos State Government as the Managing Director, Lagos Water Corporation coming with an academic background of a Mechanical Engineering graduate of the University of the District of Columbia and Howard University.
Eko Hot Blog reports that prior to his well-deserved appointment Mr Badmus had worked in various capacities abroad. He was a senior manager with the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority (aka DC Water), an organisation that supervises the operation and maintenance of water distribution to the White House and other parts of Washington DC.
Badmus is armed with over three decades of experience in the engineering profession. He was in charge of DC Water’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) a construction and maintenance project for the DC Water and Wastewater Authority.
While there, Badmus through unassailable work ethics rose to the top having to his credit several engineering designs, construction and operation projects, including technology for sewer lateral replacement, Fat Oil and Gre4ase (FOG), wireless supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system, vulnerability assessments and various improvements to the aging water and sewer frame in the District.
The incredibly cerebral Engineer was in charge of the long-term sewer infrastructural planning, standardization of DC’s water and sewer infrastructure; and the US Federal Government’s clean water program in the District.
He is a member of many professional bodies including the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and Water Environmental Foundation (WEF), among others.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe-born thoroughbred professional, Engr Muminu Badmus was based on his enviable antecedents drafted into the services of the Lagos State Government in 2015 as the Group Managing Director of the Lagos Water Corporation.
His landmark achievements at the helms have seen tremendous growth in terms of commendable services overhaul through innovation which has significantly improved water production and availability in Lagos State.
With a strong commitment to develop and implement a plan that will restore high production capacity, bridge the water demand gap, improve service delivery, and build customer trust in the State’s water utility, Engineer Badmus has been resolute in championing the organisation’s efforts.
