Lagos Water Corporation Resumes Production at Iju, Adiyan Treatment Plants After Phase 1 Rehabilitation

The Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) is pleased to announce the resumption of production at its major waterworks in Iju and Adiyan, following the successful completion of Phase 1 of its rehabilitation project.

Speaking at the Corporation’s headquarters today, the Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Tijani, expressed gratitude to Lagos residents for their patience during the recent water supply disruptions.

“We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the temporary water supply interruptions and appreciate the understanding of our valued customers,” he said.

“With the completion of this phase, we are committed to delivering reliable and quality water services to meet the needs of Lagos residents.”

Engr. Tijani emphasized the Corporation’s dedication to serving the people diligently, in line with Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu’s THEME Plus agenda, which prioritizes the well-being of Lagosians by ensuring adequate water supply across the state, this was made known by Kehinde Fashola (Mrs.), the Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Lagos Water Corporation.

However, he also announced a temporary water shortage for residents in the Alexander, Bourdillon, and Park View areas of Ikoyi.

This interruption will occur from Monday, November 18, to Saturday, November 23, 2024, to allow contractors to execute critical rehabilitation work at the Alexander Mini Waterworks.

Engr. Tijani urged residents to support the Corporation’s efforts by reporting any pipeline leakages promptly through the Customer Care Lines: 07045973012 and 07045973013.

He also encouraged residents to address any issues or complaints by visiting the nearest zonal offices or contacting the customer care team.

The Lagos Water Corporation remains steadfast in its commitment to providing improved and sustainable water services to the residents of Lagos State.
