Eko Hot Blog reports that the Lagos Water Corporation has organised a 2-day hygiene behavioural charge training for the staff of the corporation.

The corporation organised the training programme in collaboration with WaterAid and HUFFED.
“This is the part of the transformation process and programme of the LWC Managing Director, Engr. Mukhtaar Tijani led administration towards improved service delivery in the state,” the statement reads in part.

Meanwhile, the LWC recently reassured Lagos residents that the state public water is the safest water because its conforms with World Health Organisation’s standards.
Speaking at a community engagement in Baruwa community in June, the corporation’s managing director, through the Executive Director, Operations, Engr. (Mrs.) Helen Omolanke Taiwo, stated that the corporation had tested the boreholes and other sachets waters in the past and had seen that LWC water is the best.
“The forum was aimed to enjoin Baruwa Community and its environs to connect to safe water that conform with World Health Organisation Standards,” he said.
“This is in line with the state government policy to ensure access to safe drinking water against untreated borehole water that is not safe for human consumption and exposes you and your family to health hazards.”
