Laide Bakare Says It Feels Good To Be An American

If her open celebration of being granted American citizenship two years ago unsettled anyone, Laide Bakare doesn’t seem to care.

The Nollywood actress went even further by celebrating American Independence Day in an Instagram post.

“Happy independent Day #AMERICA its feels good to be an American anytime, every time ??,” she wrote in parts as caption for a photo of a beautiful cake draped in the colours of the United States of America.

The actress, whose marriage to her former husband ended in controversial circumstances, became an American citizen in 2017, posting documents of her new status on social media back then.
