Lamido questioned the fiscal management of the current administration, saying, “If Nigerians were being told the truth, there would be no issue, but how can you budget N30tn, generate N50tn, and still request loans with a surplus of N20tn?”
EKO HOT BLOG reports that he described such financial practices as “recklessness” and “selfishness,” adding, “This is not done anywhere in the world, yet some Nigerians continue to support it. Just visit social media, and you will see how the APC is being criticized as a calamity, but still, some defend it.”
The former governor also criticized former President Muhammadu Buhari for a lack of transparency during his tenure, alleging that both Buhari’s and Tinubu’s governments have prioritized propaganda over transparency.
“In contrast to the PDP era, where everything was transparent and open, Buhari and Tinubu’s administrations have used deception and propaganda to govern,” Lamido asserted.
