Derby County manager, Frank Lampard, has agreed a contract to return to Stamford Bridge as coach, according to multiple reports.
With an announcement by Chelsea said to be imminent, it was revealed that Chelsea will buy out the last two years of the contract Lampard, who is set to replace Maurizio Sarri, at the cost of £4m.
With the deal, the 41-year-old is set to return familiar surroundings where he spent 13 years as a player, bagging 211 goals in 649 games.
Lampard won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, four FA Cups, two League Cups and the Europa League in that era, only beaten to the Ballon d’Or in 2005 by Ronaldinho.
