Lagos State College of Nursing, Igando, organized a Computer Assisted Screening (CAS) Entrance Examination for eligible candidates on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
These candidates had previously secured a score above 200 in the 2024 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination, qualifying them for the next phase of the admission process.
During the examination, Acting Provost Miss Anuoluwapo Olaiwola Priestley addressed the candidates, highlighting the importance of the entrance test.
She explained that the exam is a crucial step in ensuring fairness and upholding the institution’s standards.
It serves as a key criterion for selecting students to proceed to the interview stage.

Priestley advised the candidates to manage their time efficiently during the exam, reminding them that the system is programmed to automatically log out anyone who exceeds their allotted time.
“No extra time will be granted, so it’s essential to stay aware of the clock,” she cautioned.
She also urged the candidates to follow all rules and conduct themselves appropriately, warning that any form of examination malpractice would result in severe consequences.
Furthermore, Priestley emphasized the demanding nature of the nursing profession, stressing the need for focus and dedication throughout the educational journey.
“Maintaining high standards during the admission process is essential to admitting competent candidates who are both physically and mentally capable of studying the profession,” she stated.
