The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency, LASEPA, has reportedly sealed two popular hangout in Lekki, Circa and Bay Rock Gentlemans Club due to non-compliance with the environmental laws of the state.
According to a reliable source within LASEPA, the hangout spots were sealed due to noise pollution.

The Lagos State Government, through LASEPA, has frowned on noise pollution within the state by enforcing the Environmental Pollution Control Law, 1989 and the new (ii) LASEPA Environmental Regulation on Noise Pollution in the state.
The LASEPA mandate, Section 199, on Noise Regulation Subsection K, 1 and M states that the agency shall power to make regulations on: K(Noise Standard for any product of class which emits noise capable of adversely affecting pubic health of welfare)
In an interview with Eko Hot Blog, the General Manager, LASEPA, Dr Adedolapo Fasawe, said that the anti-noise laws had been ignored for so long, but the advocacy plan of the agency will come with enforcement.
Speaking on ways to avoid running foul of the law, Fasawe said that anyone who wants a noise permit within closed-doors has to soundproof.
“It is the law. Very soon, we will start enforcing the law at event centres, worship centres of all faiths, clubs and restaurants. They have to soundproof their buildings; it is not exorbitant.
“The truth is that sound finds it difficult to travel if the room is soundproofed, ” she said
