The General Manager of the Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory, Engr. Olalekan Ajani has called on stakeholders in the built environment to use certified quality materials for their various building projects across the State.
Speaking at a meeting with the GM of Lagos State Building Control Agency at its Head Office in Ikeja, Engr. Ajani implored stakeholders not to bend the rules or compromise safety standards in order to protect the lives and property of innocent residents.
He said the Agency initiated the meeting with her sister Agency, LASBCA, in order to collaborate and build a successful working synergy between both Agencies.
In line with its mandate to ensure that all building construction are done according to stipulated rules and regulations.

He called on LASBCA staff to support Engr. Kosegbe in the quest to reduce cases of collapsed buildings and loss of lives, Ajani warned those in the built industry as well as developers to be wary of materials they use for construction.
The General Manager, LASBCA, Engr. Abiola Kosegbe lauded the initiative of LSMTL management team in seeking for collaboration between the two Agencies, stressing that the meeting was long overdue.
