The Lagos State Government, today, commenced the beautification of the stretch of Outer Marina up till the frontage of the State House Marina as well as the foot of Apongbon Bridge.
The beautification is to improve the aesthetical appearance of the area, to restore its greenery outlook and to meet up the smart city vision of the state

The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Mr Tunji Bello said all illegal street traders and operators of commercial vehicles who ignored the directive issued by the State Government to vacate the area were arrested.
Bello said the project has started in earnest under the supervision of the LASPARK as all the illegal structures dotting the areas have been dismantled, and that traffic is now moving freely in the Outer Marina area.
Bello emphasised that as the beautification and landscaping project had commenced, Lagosians should rest assured that the activities are a continuous process and will extend to other parts of the state.
