LASG Cracks Down on Lekki Waterfront Encroachment

Lagos State Government have issued contravention notices to 67 property owners, including big names like Farm City, Jonah Court, DHL, and Polo Avenue, for encroaching on the Lekki Waterfront setback.

According to Hon. Yacoob Ekundayo Alebiosu, the Honourable Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, these properties are occupying the waterfront illegally and are in clear violation of the Lagos State Waterfront law No 3 of 2009.

Alebiosu is urging all concerned property owners to report to the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development with their documents and titles, or risk being sealed or demolished.

EDITORS PICK:

The Commissioner is adamant that the State Government is committed to providing infrastructure and maintaining the Waterfront, making it a beautiful and safe space for tourists and locals alike.

It’s clear that the Lagos State Government is serious about tackling this issue and ensuring that the Waterfront corridor is sanitized and protected for future generations.

They are on a mission to clean up the Waterfront corridor, and they’re not messing around.
