Lagos State Government has urged technicians to upgrade their skills and stay updated on industry developments to promote efficient service delivery.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Works, Engr. Olayinka Adekunle, made this call at the opening of a five-day expert training program for electricians, plumbers, technicians, and carpenters.
The program, themed “Elevate Your Craft,” features experts and thought leaders in the built sector, with a packed agenda including keynote addresses, panel discussions, workshops, team building, and networking sessions.
Engr. Adekunle emphasized the importance of elevating crafts and trade in today’s fast-paced, artificial intelligence-dominated world.

He expressed optimism that the training will yield great dividends, promote professional excellence, and increase productivity.
The Permanent Secretary, Office of Works, Arch. Adebayo Odusanya, welcomed participants and expressed excitement about the program.
He encouraged participants to take advantage of the opportunity to grow, learn, and network.
The program aims to promote excellence and innovation in the building industry, and participants are challenged to apply new skills or ideas learned during the program to a real-world project within 30 days.
