The TG/PS Education District III, Dr. Mrs. Olufolayimika Abiose Ayandele has been at the forefront of outstanding leadership in the education sector of Lagos. In fact, she is a good example of women in governance driving change through her very many innovative programs since she assumed office.

All over Africa, there is a low representation of women in leadership positions and governance and in order to bridge these gaps, various women organizations have strongly advocated for the inclusion of women as they have the capacity to create far-reaching innovations at the decision making tables.

Dr. Ayandele has proven beyond reasonable doubt that she is an empathetic and proactive leader, sensitive to the plights of youths and children out of school in her jurisdiction.

It is a fact that women, youths, and children are at the receiving end of crises like COVID-19 pandemic, it is not out of place to invent programs that will help to cushion the harrowing effects of the stay at home order on students.

One of such innovations is the invention of the Toll-Free Counselling Line and Students Worksheets, where students can call in to talk to a counsellor at no cost and to engage them in home teaching and learning of Mathematics and English Language.
