EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Permanent Secretary/Auditor-General for Local Governments, Mr. Obafemi Ogunlana, addressing participants at the closing ceremony of the workshop, stated that the objective of the training was to ensure that the Auditors have a comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Advanced Operations, among others, as compiled and recommended by Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
The Auditor-General commended the Consultants for making the training programme an interactive and a hands-on workshop with essential skills needed to make advanced data analysis and effective use of MS Excel easy for the participants.
While informing that the workshop also exposed the Auditors to smarter ways of data analysis and visualisation, collaboration among team members and standardised management report compilation and presentation, Ogunlana expressed gratitude to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for supporting the office to be on the right path in terms of capacity building for its staff.
120 Auditors participated in the workshop held in four batches for all Deputy Heads of Core Audit Directorates, Team Leads and Audit Team members.
