LASG, Partners HP, Others To Educate Teachers

The Lagos State Office Of Education (OEQA) has partnered with HP innovation and Digital Education Academies Middle East and Africa(HP IDEA -MEA) and Mirai in training 42 Primary and Secondary School Teachers from different education districts. LASG stands to curtail the spread of technology literacy amongst teachers

Mrs Abiola Seriki,Ayeni, the Director-General, OEQA has averred that the purpose of the LASG teachers learning activities is to make sure that at the end of the training, teachers who gain technical knowledge and will have abilities to solve any problems on their own without umpteenthly seeking for help.

Eko Hot Blog learnt that she stated that by using technology in the classroom, both teachers and students can develop skills essential for the 21st century. Students can gain the skills they will need to be successful in the future. Modern learning is about collaborating with others, solving complex problems, critical thinking, developing different forms of communication and leadership skills, and improving motivation and productivity.

The Chairman, Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Mr Wahah Alawiye also convey a message saying that teachers much work with all mights and diligence and also improve teaching and learning skills so as to help shape teacher standards and create expendable models.

All teacher preparation programs offer classroom management strategies and information on student cognitive development and learning styles, Alawiye added.
