The Commissioner for Establishment, Training and Pension, Mrs. Ajibola Ponnle, has sought the collaboration and cooperation of Heads of all MDAs in boosting the career of public servants through the Learning Management System platform of the state government.
Mrs. Ponnle made this known during a visit to the Public Service Office, Office of Transformation, Creativity and Innovation and Ministry of Special Duties, to create awareness on the import and adaptability of Ministries to the radical change and approach to learning.
She stressed that over 40,000 public servants have been onboarded on the platform while about 21,000 have enrolled and registered with over 4000 courses at their disposal, thereby giving everyone the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
She admonished the Directors of Admin and Human Resource, Learning and Development officers in Ministries and Agencies, to regularly monitor and ensure that officers learn on the LMS platform as there are rewards for top learners like international training and prizes.

The Commissioner noted that the LMS platform, which is an initiative of the present administration, is targeted at boosting the capacity of the state public service in order to keep it ahead of other government establishments in Nigeria.
She noted that the state government is setting up an LMS digital library at PSSDC with computers for learning to further boost capacity development and urged heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies to encourage officers to key into the LMS platform.
Some of the various courses, according to the commissioner, include personal development courses, management courses and courses tailored to respective Ministries, Departments and Agencies, as well as distinct local content courses.
She informed that all officers now have official emails, hence using official email as usernames gives room for easy access to the platform as it will be difficult for anyone to forget his official mail.
On his part, the PS, Public Service Office Mr. Samson Ajibade encouraged all officers on grade level 7-17, to key into the new learning platform of the State Government, requesting that Officers in the lower cadre or those with learning deficiencies should be assisted and motivated.
