LASG Urges Buyers To Beware Of Property Without Planning Permit

The Lagos State Government has alerted and notified property buyers and renters of buildings to beware of taking buildings and spaces that are permitted by the government.

This notification was given by the Commissioner for physical planning and Urban Development, Dr Idris Salami in Alausa, Ikeja,on Tuesday.

The Commissioner told prospective property buyers and up takers who use building, to always ensure to request a from developers, prior to concluding any transaction, planning permit duly registered by the Lagos State physical planning permit Authority (LASPPPA), or visit their closest office to confirm the originality of such planning permit.

Dr Salami noted that any building developers that find a way to disregard any rules and regulations of government would directly face the wrath of the government. we will consecutively engage in cautious sanctioning before this act becomes rampant” he said.

The Commissioner said “it is so infuriating that despite the efforts of government to stop this stupid act, some builders and developers are still not adhering strictly to regulations of the state and as such, we will come like a thief in the night, and make sure they suffer in our hands” he added.
