LASG Urges Residents To Support Government’s Call On Security

The Honourable Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Relations, Engr. Tayo Bamgbose-Martins has called on Lagosians to lend their voices to the State Government’s call to stop the endangering of lives and property in the State.

Bamgbose-Martins, who made the call during his visit to the Lagos West Senatorial District IDP camp located at Igando, stated that Lagosians need to become more safety conscious by avoiding negligence that has led to many fire outbreaks in the recent past.

He maintained that in addition to the government’s commitment to providing succour to disaster victims, residents must take concerted steps to prevent the avoidable loss of lives that result from fire incidents.

Noting the importance of reporting issues that could lead to loss of lives and property, the Commissioner asked members of the public to p”lease, raise the alarm whenever you observe that your neighbour is engaging in any suspicious activity; endeavour to call security personnel on any of the free toll emergency numbers (767 or 121) for appropriate response to forestall any form of avoidable disaster”.
