Lawan Swears In Lawmaker Representing Cross River North

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has sworn in the winner of the Cross River North senatorial bye-election, Stephen Odey.

Odey could not take his oath of office on Tuesday because of a federal court order halting his swearing-in.

However, the legal issue seemed to have been resolved as Senator Lawan, during Wednesday’s plenary, invited him into the chamber to take the oath.
