The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) held its annual Christmas Carol and end-of-year thanksgiving at its Ijora-Olopa headquarters, attended by staff, management, and well-wishers.
LAWMA Managing Director, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, expressed gratitude for God’s blessings on the agency despite challenges, praising staff for their dedication and urging them to continue their good work.
Dr. Gbadegesin wished Lagos residents a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, urging them to fulfill their environmental responsibilities and support LAWMA’s efforts in keeping the city clean. He also thanked staff for their continued support.
During the event, chapel president Mr. Olawumi Oluwaseyi delivered a sermon on the theme “With a Grateful Heart,” encouraging gratitude to God for protection.
The event featured a special song by guest minister Sarah Apekeola, hymns from the Emmanuel Chapel choir, and a choreographed performance by the chapel’s children.
Other management staff who read Bible passages included Mrs. Folashade Kadiri (Public Affairs), Mr. Adewumi Adetona (Advocacy), Dr. Essien Nsuabia (Waste Management Development Research), Mrs. Opayemi Abimbola (Commercial Services), Mrs. Bola Adewumi (LAWMA Academy), and Dr. Modupe Okoh (Medical Services, Health and Safety), among others.
