Bobrisky was scheduled to appear on Monday to address allegations of bribing officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to drop money laundering charges, and the Nigerian Correctional Services (NCoS) to avoid serving his sentence in a prison cell.
These accusations were raised by social media activist, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan.
However, during the hearing, Bobrisky’s lawyer informed the lawmakers that his client was unable to attend due to health issues.
The House of Representatives has since requested medical documentation to substantiate the claims made by the lawyer.
