EKO HOT BLOG reports that hundreds of Christians gathered in Kaduna State on Tuesday to protest the continued captivity of Leah Sharibu, the lone Chibok schoolgirl held by Boko Haram since 2018.
The protest, organized by Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria, demanded the release of Leah and other schoolchildren still held by terrorist groups across the northern region.

Holding placards with messages like “Free Leah Sharibu and other abducted girls now” and “Government secure our community,” demonstrators urged both federal and state governments to prioritize the safety of citizens.
Rev. Yunusa Nmadu, CEO of Christian Solidarity Worldwide Nigeria, expressed frustration over the government’s perceived inaction, calling on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and ensure Leah’s release.
Rev. Emmanuel Okunlola, Secretary of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the government’s responsibility to protect Nigerians.
Braimoh Martins, Legal Adviser of CSW-N, highlighted the broader issue of insecurity, noting the presence of over 400 students in captivity across northern Nigeria.
