Lecture On Zakat, Reward For Good Deeds By Imam Raji Adams
Lecture on Jummah service by Imam Raji Adams
Harithah bin Wahb (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I heard Messenger of Allah (PBUH) saying, “Shall I not inform you about the people of Jannah? It is every person who is, modest and humble (before Allah), a person who is accounted weak and is looked down upon but if he adjures Allah, Allah will certainly give him what he desires. Now shall I not inform you about the inmates of Hell? It is every violent, impertinent, and proud man”. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Narrated Haritha bin Wahab :
I heard the Prophet saying, “O people! Give in charity as a time will come upon you when a person will wander about with his object of charity and will not find anybody to accept it, and one (who will be requested to take it) will say, “If you had brought it yesterday, would have taken it, but today I am not in need of it.”
Lessons from the Hadith.
👆The Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi wa salaam in line with the warning of Allah that man should avoid procrastination in carrying out both mundane and spiritual duties so that shaytan would not prevent him from earning reward says in Qur’an 18 verse 23:
“And never say of anything: “indeed I will do that tomorrow”.

💊Therefore, in reaching out to people with the dire need we should ‘make hays while the sun shines’ otherwise delay might defeat the purpose.
🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️Let us do the needful now concerning our Zakat for 1441 AH and any other ongoing Sadaqah before it becomes obsolete and loses the value of reward in this world and next.
