EKO HOT BLOG reports that Leeds United have told Barcelona to submit their latest offer for Raphinha by Thursday as Chelsea continues to wait on the winger.
Chelsea has already agreed a £55 million fee with Leeds but the Brazil international has held out for Barcelona to make their move.
Raphinha’s agent, Deco, met with Barcelona’s hierarchy on multiple occasions last week but the Spanish club have yet to reach an agreement with Leeds.
It’s understood that Raphinha’s preference is to join Barcelona but the La Liga club are not willing to match Chelsea’s bid.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Leeds has asked Barcelona to provide them with an updated proposal by Thursday as they are keen for the winger’s future to be decided.
Raphinha has already agreed on personal terms but Barcelona have been unable to follow up with an offer due to their financial restrictions.
Speaking at the weekend, Barca president Joan Laporta insisted that Raphinha is keen to make the move to Camp Nou.
‘We’ve spoken to Leeds, I don’t think they will be offended. We have communication and we have spoken personally,’ Laporta said.
What happens is that there are other clubs that want Raphinha and are making their proposals. He wants to come.’
