Leicester’s PL Return Falters After Loss To Plymouth

Eko Hot Blog reports that Leicester City’s bid to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League suffered another blow with a 1-0 defeat to Plymouth on Friday, despite the efforts of Nigerian talents Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfried Ndidi.

Mustapha Bundu’s excellent goal secured Plymouth Argyle their first home victory since January, pushing them five points ahead of the relegation zone.
Leicester appeared poised for a swift return to the Premier League after winning 13 out of their first 14 league matches this season.
However, their form is faltering as the season reaches its climax.
Enzo Maresca’s men also lost 1-0 to relegation-threatened Millwall in midweek and have won just two of their last six games.
Leicester maintains their position at the top of the table, narrowly ahead of Ipswich by goal difference and just one point ahead of third-placed Leeds.
The 2016 Premier League champions, risk slipping out of the automatic promotion spots by Saturday if Leeds and Ipswich manage to secure victories at home against Blackburn and Middlesbrough, respectively.

In contrast, Plymouth has extended their unbeaten run to three games under interim manager Neil Dewsnip, lifting them clear of the relegation zone.
The triumph of Leicester propels the Pilgrims to 16th place in the standings.
