Armed Robbers Strike Lekki Chicken Republic, Shoot Security Guard

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a shocking turn of events, armed robbers targeted a branch of Chicken Republic located on Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 in Lagos State on Sunday, February 12.

The violent incident resulted in the shooting of a security guard at the eatery, causing widespread panic among customers, employees, and nearby residents.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers stormed the restaurant and stole valuable items but refrained from attacking customers who were present during the operation. A Twitter user, @OriesiVapor, reported that he was on his way home from church when he heard the sounds of a gunshot coming from the crime scene.

The management of Chicken Republic confirmed the robbery in a statement posted on social media. They expressed sadness and condemned the act of violence while also confirming that they were working with the police to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The statement read:

“Earlier today, a member of our team was shot at our Admiralty Lekki 1 Branch, in an attempted robbery. He is currently receiving medical attention and we ask that you join us to pray for his recovery.”
