Ekohotblog reports that Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, along with key council officials, visited the victims of a gas explosion at Famous Hospital today.
The explosion, which took place on September 11, 2024, at around 4:30 pm in Tiye, resulted in two individuals suffering first and second degree burns.
The exact cause of the explosion remains under investigation, but it reportedly occurred while cooking with gas.
Engr. Kasali, accompanied by Council Manager Alhaji Olayiwola Giwa, Supervisor for Health Hon. Olabode Sonaike, and Chief of Staff Hon. Fatai Taiwo, met with the victims to offer support.
Engr. Kasali stated, “We are here to offer our deepest condolences and support to the victims of this unfortunate incident. Our hearts go out to them and their families during this difficult time.”
He further assured, “The Lekki LCDA is committed to covering the medical expenses of the victims and providing any necessary assistance to ensure their full recovery.”
The visit underscored the community’s commitment to supporting those affected and highlighted the ongoing need for safety and precautionary measures.
