He said, “The election is fast approaching. I urge you all to hit the ground running. Take the campaign to every nook and cranny of Lagos. Mobilise the electorate to vote massively for our party. We must showcase the various landmark achievements of our local governments to win the hearts of voters.”
The council is divided into six directorates, each headed by a party leader.

The statement emphasized that the council’s membership is intentionally diverse, encompassing various interest groups within the party such as women’s groups, youth organizations, artisans, non-indigenous members, state cabinet members, lawmakers, and APC State Executive Committee members.
In response to the confidence placed in him, council leader Babatunde Balogun expressed his gratitude and affirmed the team’s commitment to delivering results in the upcoming local council elections.
“We are fully aware of the enormity of the task before us. But we are equally confident in our collective strength and commitment. We will work with unity and dedication to not only secure victory in the upcoming council elections but also lay a solid foundation for our triumph in the 2027 national polls,” he said.
Oladejo said, “We’re not leaving anything to chance, Our strategy is people-driven. We will be telling real stories of what our councils have achieved and what more is to come.”
The July 12 council polls will be conducted by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission and are seen as a litmus test for political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.
