The Acting Chairman of Qua’n Pan Local Government of Plateau, Mr Abdulmalik Haruna, has appealed to the State Government to reconstruct the bridge that collapsed in the area after a downpour.
A statement by Jacqueline Dakat, the Local Government Information Officer on Thursday, said that the bridge was destroyed on Wednesday night.
Haruna, who made the appeal when he inspected the collapsed bridge, along with other staff of the local government, said that some communities were separated from others as a result of the collapse of the bridge.

He said that Doemak and Bwall communities were separated from each other from Doemak Kopdamo, Dung Daniang road to Bwall.
The chairman also appealed to the management of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to immediately come to their aid.
He added that the collapse of the bridge had adversely affected economic and other activities in the area.
