Liberian Prison Breach Unleashes 47 Inmates
47 inmates have escaped from a maximum security prison in Margibi County, Liberia, leaving authorities scrambling to recapture them.
The escape occurred over the weekend, and initial investigations point to a lapse in the prison’s security system.
The Ministry of Justice is taking the incident very seriously, deploying additional officers to aid in the search and urging the public to remain calm.
“The Ministry of Justice is deeply concerned about this incident and is taking all necessary measures to ensure the recapture of the escaped inmates,” it said in a statement.

As the search intensifies, the ministry is calling on the escaped inmates to surrender themselves at the nearest police station or prison authorities to avoid facing additional charges.
The public is also urged to report any information that could lead to the recapture of the inmates.
This daring escape has raised questions about the state of Liberia’s prison system and the security measures in place.
As the investigation continues, one thing is clear: the people of Liberia are on high alert, waiting to see how this situation unfolds.
