Libya Coach Laments Poor Preparation Ahead Of Nigeria AFCON Clash

Libya head coach, Nasser Al-Hadiri, has expressed dissatisfaction with his team’s preparation ahead of the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria.

The Mediterranean Knights will be missing several key players due to injuries and suspensions, while some top stars have reportedly decided to boycott the matches.

Al-Hadiri acknowledged that the absence of these crucial players has hindered his ability to form a solid tactical plan for the qualifiers.

“We have not yet reached the required level of readiness to face a strong team like Nigeria,” Al-Hadiri said during a press conference.

“The team were not in good shape before I took over.

“The absence of several players in our first training sessions has made it difficult to establish a comprehensive tactical plan for the game.”

The North African side will face the Super Eagles at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday.
