LiRA Foundation Uplifts Thousands of School Children in Bariga, Somolu with Back-to-School Packages

Ekohotblog reports that the LiRA Foundation’s 5th Annual Welcome Back to School Initiative brought relief and joy to over 2,500 pupils and students in Bariga and Somolu as the new academic year kicked off.

Held at the CMS Primary School Compound in Ilaje, Bariga, the event provided essential school supplies, easing the financial burden for many families across Lagos.

In a festive atmosphere, the initiative not only distributed school items but also created a platform for fun, learning, and inspiration.

Engaging activities such as games, dances, and edutainment brought smiles to the children and their parents, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to supporting education.

A highlight of the event was the motivational talk by Hephzibah Oluwafolafemi Atilola, a renowned teen speaker and author of “Speak Up, Your Voice Will be Heard.”

Her words of encouragement resonated with the students, inspiring them to embrace their potential.

Joining her on stage were other notable figures, including Nkwocha Princess, a young model, and Olori Oluwabukola Saliu, wife of the Oba Oloworo of Oworo, who further motivated the children with their presence and support.

The success of the event was attributed to divine guidance and the unwavering support of key stakeholders, particularly Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

His backing underscored the importance of community involvement in education, highlighting how collective efforts can foster growth and empowerment.

Alhaji Owolabi ‘Ajimomuya’ Oseni, newly appointed member of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture, Mubi, Adamawa State, was also in attendance, lending his support to the grassroots educational initiative.

As the day concluded, children and their parents left the event with smiles, their spirits lifted by the generosity of the LiRA Foundation.

The foundation remains dedicated to empowering education, fostering civic engagement, and nurturing future leaders across Lagos State.
