Liverpool Break 30-Year Jinx, Win First EPL Title

The wait is over for Liverpool as the Merseyside club sealed the premier league title following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City, ending the 30-year drought without winning the league.

Liverpool are now 2019/2020 English Premier League Champions, following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night.

Manchester City’s defeat means Liverpool are now 2019/2020 English Premier League Champions, they have mathematically won the league with 86 points despite six more games to go.

Liverpool, which lost only one game so far in the season, won the title for the first time in 30 years.

Christian Pulisic gave the Blues the lead, with a solo effort in 35 minutes, with Kelvin De Bruyne equalizing with a stunning free-kick.

Fernandinho got a red-card after handling the ball in the box, with Willian getting the second goal via a penalty, for Chelsea
