Nunez was one of the players who entered the stands at the Bank of America Stadium and exchanged punches with fans during the chaotic conclusion to the game.
His punishment was the harshest, with others receiving bans of four matches or fewer, along with fines.
Tottenham’s Rodrigo Bentancur was banned for four matches, while defenders Mathias Olivera, Ronald Araujo, and Jose Maria Gimenez were each suspended for three matches.
Nunez was fined $20,000, with other players facing fines between $16,000 and $5,000.
Additionally, six players received fines only.
