The All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairmanship aspirant in Eredo LCDA Epe Division, Engineer Temitope Wariz Odeyemi, began his calculated and strategic moves to consolidate his chances to wrest power from the incumbent administration on an applaudable note.

This corroborates the mission of his leadership aspiration as such that will change the status quo.

Engineer Temitope Wariz Odeyemi aka Omituntun.

Having successfully launched his political campaign on all social media platforms, including nooks and crannies of the LCDA, Ekohotblog gathered that the popularity of the down to earth intellect was put to test on Sunday, April 26th, 2021 during his Campaign Flag-Off held in Ward M1 comprising Odomola, Iraye and Odo-Egiri communities. It is safe to say the outing wasn’t a bad start being a Youthful aspirant as the venue was not only filled with youth supporters but also a sizeable number of adults. Speaking while addressing his staunch supporters during the event, he pointed out the fact that he was overwhelmed by the massive support despite not being on the platter of monetary inducement.

“I’m stunned by this massive gathering and this is a strong signal to those who are sitting on the fence that we are fully on ground to dominate and give you credible leadership.

Taking a careful observation of our community, you’ll realize that we’ve been doing our bit for progress. We’re here to correct some wrongs, to stabilize our communities. We’re not in Government yet but we feel it is right to give our people a sense of belonging and one of such is the distribution of free JAMB forms to our school leavers. We need to be in Government to better a lot of our people.

I realised that most of the solutions to problems being experienced by communities need a strong self will together with funds. “, he averred.

Omituntun, as he is fondly called, assured his supporters that his home-based lifestyle is enough to hold him accountable for he had all his stages of education in Epe community.

He stated that he has first-hand understanding of challenges facing communities by virtue of being a business-oriented personality and construction engineer unlike those who don’t know the terrain of these communities.

He urged his supporters to get their PVCs ready and be prepared to vote during the party primaries. He also pleaded with them not to succumb to intimidation but rather increase his support base.

In an interview with Ekohotblog a youth who prefers not be mentioned, she expressed satisfaction towards the Omituntun movement, noting that such courage is good for democracy at the grassroots. She therefore urged the party leadership to give the youths the benefit of doubt.

” I am happy that a youth like me has taken up the challenge. What I can deduce from this gathering is the fact that the Omituntun team are setting the pace for other youths to come on board and it is good for democracy at the grassroot level. If they can sustain the unity, love, and societal interest over personal interest, I see them breaking barriers.
I will urge party leaders to begin to give them a chance “, she stated.

Ekohotblog gathered that faithfuls also took turns to address the gathering with the same message of preaching the gospel of youth representation in governance at the grassroots.

Notable among them are Mr. Ogunyole Jacob ( Baba Teacher ), Mr. Ariyo Osilaja, Mr. Sangosanya Olamide Rotimi, Prince Oduntan Adekoya, Hon Lawal Abdullateef Abiodun, Mr. Yesiru Ogunsola, Mr. Osineye Akeem, and Alhaja Alausa MT.
