Lockdown: Man Burns Self To Death As Police Siezes Motorcycle

Motorcycle operators in Masaka, Uganda are set to embark on a violent protest following the tragic death of their colleague, Huessein Walugemba.

Huessein committed suicide after the police siezed his motorcycle as he had violated the COVID-19 lockdown rules.

He followed the police officers to the station to retrieve the motorcycle which was his means of livelihood.

The police turned deaf ears to all his pleas and cries, acting as though he never existed.

Husseini became frustrated, went out to the get a gallon of kerosene, bathed himself with it and burnt himself to death right inside the police station.

Other motorcycle operators vowed to burn the police station if justice is not granted to late Huesseini.
