The London Political Summit is set to honour His Royal Majesty, Oba Olufolarin Olukayode Ogunsanwo, Telade IV, with a leadership award for his exceptional strides since assuming the reins of power as the Alara of Ilara Kingdom.
In a letter dated August 31, 2021, and made available to Eko Hot Blog, the Summit acknowledged Oba Olufolarin’s dynamic and remarkable leadership as the sine-qua-non for his nomination for the highly prestigious award.
The letter reads in part: “We are pleased to inform you of your nomination for the Uhuru/Raila African Peace Award at the sixth London and Political Summit in October 2021. The highly acknowledged Award symbolizes the true legacy of outstanding political stewardship and sportsmanship in as demonstrated by the two great sons of Kenya and Africa in their honest quest to end political violence, unhealthy political competition and bring about democratic peace.”
“The award is given to outstanding political leaders who have been able to exhibit a new dynamic political culture that reflects Afrocracy – A dimension of African political character and practices set to reshape the political behaviour and moral judgement of African leaders.”
The Summit also hailed Oba Ogunsanwo’s leadership tact and his unequalled sagacity that has firmly placed his community on the launchpad to unprecedented influx of development.
“Having followed the strides of your administration from its advent and your outstanding contributions to the community, we are informed of our confidence in your office as an inspirational leader and defender of your people.”
The award ceremony will hold between 12th-14th October, 2021 at the British House of Commons, Westminster where other accomplished African leaders will be honoured for their superlative contributions to their indigenous communities in the collective quest lift Africa from the rubble of perennial stagnation and underdevelopment.
This year’s award also lays specific emphasis on “Afrocracy,” a congenital African ideology that seeks to alter the warped orientation of the heavily corrupted political systems in the African continent.
