Lookman, David De Gea Crowned Serie A’s Best Performers After 13 Rounds
Ademola Lookman and Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea have been named the top performers in Serie A after the first 13 matches of the 2024-25 season, according to a ranking by Football Italia.
The list, compiled based on average player ratings from Italian sports publications, features players who have made at least 50% of their team’s league appearances this season.

Lookman secured the top spot after netting his seventh goal in 10 matches during Atalanta’s 3-1 win over Parma last weekend. The Nigerian forward’s consistent form has been pivotal for Atalanta’s campaign.
De Gea, formerly of Manchester United, shares the highest average rating with Lookman. The Spanish goalkeeper has been instrumental in Fiorentina’s remarkable run of seven consecutive victories, highlighted by another clean sheet in their 2-0 triumph over 10-man Como.
Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, Serie A’s current top scorer with 12 goals in 13 matches, rounds out the top three. Retegui further cemented his position with a goal just four minutes into the clash against Parma.
