Love Gone Wrong: Zookeeper Mauled to Death After Entering Lion Enclosure to Impress Girlfriend

In a tragic incident at a private zoo in Parkent, Uzbekistan, a zookeeper lost his life after attempting to film himself petting lions inside their enclosure.

Eko Hot Blog reports that on December 17, 44-year-old F. Iriskulov, who was working the night shift, decided to impress his fiancee by entering the enclosure housing three full-grown African lions.

A video retrieved from Iriskulov’s phone shows him unlocking the lion’s cage and casually walking in while talking to the lions and addressing them by name.

Initially, the lions appear relaxed, lounging on wooden pallets. However, their demeanor changes as they become alert and approach the zookeeper, who seems oblivious to the danger he is in.

The video abruptly ends with Iriskulov screaming as one of the lions attacks him.

Tragically, Iriskulov’s partially eaten remains were found four hours after the incident.

The zoo confirmed that one of the lions had to be shot, and the other two were tranquilized after they escaped the enclosure, which was left unlocked by the zookeeper.

Despite being an experienced lion handler, the 44-year-old man, identified as F. Iriskulov, made a fatal decision to film himself entering the lion’s enclosure at the private zoo in Parkent, Uzbekistan. According to local media reports, his intention was to impress his girlfriend.

Contrary to the initial police report suggesting that the lions had escaped their enclosure and attacked the zoo keeper in the yard, a viral video contradicts this version of events.
