Premium Bus Operators Roll Out 50% Fare Discount for Holiday Travelers

Luxury Bus Operators Begin 50% Fare Discount for Long-Distance Travel

Luxury bus owners have started implementing a 50% discount on fares for long-distance routes nationwide. Key highlights of this initiative include:

  • The discount applies to routes across the country for a limited period.
  • It is the result of a partnership between the Federal Government and the Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria (ALBON).
  • The initiative aims to ease the financial burden on travelers caused by high transportation costs.

ALBON expressed their appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for approving the rebate, stating that it would help reduce the strain on Nigerians dealing with rising travel costs. In a statement, the association urged travelers to visit public motor parks and terminals to benefit from the half-price fares.

The statement, jointly signed by ALBON President Nonso Ubajaka and Secretary Frank Nneji, announced that the discounted fares would be in effect from December 24, 2024, to January 5, 2025. Travelers on both northern and southern routes can take advantage of this offer.
