Sulyman Bankole and Balogun Ibrahim, the suspects, were brought before the court for having weapons and engaging in cult activities.
The suspects were detained by a group of police officers at their hiding place in the Popo-Igbona neighborhood of Ilorin, according to the First Information Report (FIR).
The FIR reads in part: “One live cartridge, one battle axe, one knife and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from them.”

The prosecutor, Zacchaeus Folorunsho, urged the court to remand the suspects pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The Magistrate, Ibrahim Dasuki, granted the request and adjourned to September 10.
