4. Presidency produces 55-minute documentary on highlights of Buhari’s administration

The Media Department of the State House, Abuja, has produced a 55-minute documentary, titled, “Muhammadu Buhari Was Here.”

According to a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the President’s spokesman, Mr Femi Adesina, the documentary which showcases high points of the government’s achievements, will be aired as follows:

1.     Channels Television –  Sunday, May 21 at 6.00pm ;
2.   NTA                              –  Monday, May 22 at 8.00pm; and
3.    TVC                             –  Tuesday, May 23 at 6.00pm.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the documentary was part of activities marking the conclusion of the eight-year, two-term tenure of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

5. Aviation stakeholders proffer solutions to safer air trips

Stakeholders in the Aviation sector after a 5-day brainstorming in Ilorin on how to mitigate/reduce to the barest minimum the impacts of bird and wildlife hazards have among others suggested a “National Bird Strike Day” in a year that will be used to sensitize the masses about its importance and need for all to work towards safer air transportation.

The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr. Sunday Dare, has said that the incoming Federal Government would prioritise Youth programmes and called on the Nigerian Youth to be ready to plug into government policies so as to benefit.

He said he has witnessed the lethargy in the registration and participation of certain government programmes designed to empower and skill-up the Youth of Nigeria, adding that they should grab every opportunity to succeed.

The Minister said this on Saturday, while presenting his keynote address at the virtual conference organised by the Progressive Youth of the United Kingdom with the theme, ‘Nigeria’s Rebirth and the Triumph of Hope.’

“If you don’t join the race, you can’t expect to win,” Mr. Dare said. “Yes, there is trust deficit between the Youth and the Government but you have to take a leap of faith and apply for these programmes. They are numerous and all you have to do is search online and you can benefit from them.”
