1. Osun APC writes police, alleges attack on LGAs
The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has alleged that members of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state were planning to attack Local Council Areas in the state.
The allegation was contained in a letter dated November 26, 2022 by the counsel to the party, Abimbola Ige, addressed to the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone XI, Osogbo.
The party asked for intervention to prevent breakdown of law and order in council secretariats in the state.
The party said those planning to attack council secretariats wanted to use the judgement of the Federal High Court of Osogbo that sacked the elected officials in the local government areas as reason.
2. I will name, prosecute oil thieves – Atiku
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has said there will no longer be a hiding place for oil thieves and their accomplices, no matter how highly placed in the country, if he takes power in 2023.
This was Atiku’s pledge on Saturday in Lagos when he interacted with a broad spectrum of corporate Nigeria under the aegis of Business Dialogue Stakeholders Forum at Eko hotel.
Doyens of industry at the session include: Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Jim Ovia, Femi Otedola, Tony Elumelu, Herbert Wigwe and Muhammad Hayatudeen among others.
3. NNPP national treasurer dumps party
The National Treasurer of the New New Nigeria People’s Party, Shehu Barau Ningi, has resigned from his position.
He also resigned from his membership in the party in Bauchi State.
This was contained in a terse letter he wrote and personally signed which was addressed to the Chairman of the NNPP, Ningi Ward in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State, and was obtained by our correspondent.
The letter which was dated November, 25th 2022 was titled: “Resignation as a member and National Treasurer of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).”

4. Lagos tackles unemployment, creates 124,500 new jobs through LSETF
In its determination to tackle unemployment and employability challenges facing youths, the Lagos government through the State Employment Trust Fund, LSETF, in partnership with the United States Africa Development Foundation, USADF, has successfully trained over 1000 Lagosians in various skills and created 124,500 direct and indirect jobs over the last years.
The Director-General of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dr. Chinyere Almona, disclosed this on Thursday in her keynote address at the graduation ceremony of the Midramo/LSETF/USADF employability programme for 300 youths.
Represented at the event themed: “Nigeria and the Employability Challenge”, by the Director, International Public Sector Department, Temitope Akintunde, Almona commended the vision of the Lagos government with the establishment of LSETF and the prioritising of the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs, inspiring the creative and innovative energies of Lagos residents and reducing unemployment, improving access to finance and creating enabling environment for sustainable growth of the sector.
5. Voting for Tinubu ‘ll guarantee jobs for youth – Aisha Buhari
Aisha, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari, says voting for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate in 2023 election, will guarantee employment for Nigerian women and youths.
Aisha, also the grand patron of the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign team, spoke on Saturday at the launch of the South-South APC Women and Youths Presidential Campaign Rally in Calabar.
The first lady, represented by the wife of the APC Presidential Candidate, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, also assured the teaming APC supporters of better things to come.
”A vote for Tinubu/Shettima in the forthcoming election is a vote for progress, for unity and progress of Nigeria.
6. Meet Tinubu’s late mum to verify his age, Gbajabiamila tells critics
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila on Saturday directed critics who are doubting the age of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu to meet his late mom, Abibatu Mogaji for reconfirmation.
Gbajabiamila made the remarks while addressing supporters of Tinubu at the APC mega rally in Lagos on Saturday.
Tinubu is 70 years old, based on official records submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission. However, the former Lagos State governor’s age has been intensely scrutinized and debated.
Addressing the debate, Gbajabiamila said “Tinubu is is the age his mother said he is” and doubters should meet the late Mogaji to reconfirm.
