The Debt Management Office on Monday announced an offer of two Federal Government savings bonds at N1,000 per unit to prospective investors.
According to a statement on the DMO’s website, the first offer is a two-year FG savings bond due on February 15, 2025, at a 10.043 per cent interest rate per annum.
The second offer is a three-year FG savings bond due on February 15, 2026, at an interest rate of 11.043 per cent per annum.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the opening date for the offer is February 6, closing date February 10, settlement date is February 15, and coupon payment dates are May 15, August 15, November 15 and February 15.
Justice Eleoje Enenche of a High Court at the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja on Monday restrained the Federal Government and 27 listed commercial banks from suspending, stopping, extending or interfering with the currency redesignation terminal date of February 10 or issuing any directive contrary to the date.

A tanker discharging fuel at Optimal Petrol station in Ondo State has exploded.

In a statement in Awka, a pensioner, Mr. Polycarp Onwubiko, who spoke on behalf of others, recalled that the last harmonization was done by former Governor Chris Ngige in 2001.
According to Onwubiko, It took Ngige not more than six months after assumption of office to harmonize pensions and wondered why it is taking Governor Soludo so long to do that.
He said: “It is now 12 years since pensioners have been appealing to the state government to harmonize pension which, according to the law, pension should be reviewed every five years or whenever new minimum wage is signed into law.
