The Police Public Relations Officer for the command, Benjamin Hundeyin, made this known via his Twitter page while reacting to the video.
A tweep, @Austynzogs, on Tuesday shared a video of the lady being manhandled by two policemen, demanding if she had been released by the police after the altercation.
The tweep wrote in the caption,”Last week, police men guarding the palace at Ilasan, Lekki Phase 1, allegedly assaulted a lady for attempting to record them during a confrontation with a Uber driver.”
The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, has assured people of the Niger Delta region that they will experience something new and different in the coming weeks and months.

Head of the World Health Organisation for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge, says the ongoing COVID-19 surge in China is not expected to significantly impact the European region.
Kluge, in a statement on Tuesday, explained that this was because the two variants circulating in China were already present in European countries, according to data provided by the Chinese authorities.
“We share the current view of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control that the ongoing surge in China is not anticipated to significantly impact the COVID-19 epidemiological situation in the WHO European Region at this time,” said Kluge.
The WHO senior official acknowledged that China had shared virus sequencing information, but he appealed for more detailed and regular information, especially concerning local epidemiology and variants to better assess the evolving situation.

Gombe State Branch Controller of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Shehu Alhaji Goringo, Tuesday said the new naira notes are fortified with security features that are difficult to clone.
CBN Senior Manager on Currency Operations, Shamaudeen Imam Zubair, also said the redesigned naira notes will address terrorism and kidnapping.
Goringo spoke in Gombe at the CBN stakeholder sensitisation on the newly redesigned naira notes of 200, 500 and 1000 notes held at Gombe main market.
He said: “We know that some unscrupulous people are trying to make fake naira notes but I can tell you that the new naira notes are fully fortified with security features which will make it difficult for anyone to make any fake copies of them.”
