The poll found that while 48% of Conservative voters from the last general election see Badenoch as a potential prime minister, only 26% believe she would perform well in the role. Among the wider electorate, just 14% feel she has the qualities necessary to lead the country.
Badenoch, who took a firm stance on immigration, continues to face considerable scepticism, particularly from opposition voters.
The poll found that 39% of respondents across Labour, Liberal Democrat, and Reform UK supporters view her as untrustworthy, with only 19% considering her trustworthy. Additionally, 39% of those polled described her as unlikeable, compared to just 24% who view her favorably.
Despite these mixed perceptions, Badenoch maintains some support within her own party.
The poll indicated that 56% of Conservative voters in 2024 approve of her performance as leader, although 17% rated her leadership negatively.
Still, the party is currently facing a challenging time, with recent polls showing the Conservative Party in third place behind Labour and Reform UK in voter preference.

Born in the UK to Nigerian parents, Badenoch has been outspoken on issues such as immigration, advocating for stricter policies.
She recently proposed that immigrants should be required to reside in the UK for at least 15 years before becoming eligible for a British passport. “Britain is our home, it’s not a hotel,” Badenoch said. “It’s time to tell the truth on immigration and propose real plans. I want to reduce immigration and make living here actually mean something. I’m announcing that the Conservative Party is going to do things differently.”
As Badenoch works to strengthen her position, these findings highlight the challenges she faces in winning the trust and support of both her party’s base and the wider electorate.
