The State’s Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Raphael Afonja, who revealed this development on Friday in a statement, said that infrastructural development remained a key focus of the present administration.

The Commissioner quoted the governor as saying that his administration was prepared to ensure the uplift of infrastructure in State, adding the government would ensure that adequate attention is given to road infrastructure that target the economic expansion drive of the state.

It reinstated the decision of the administration to institute a culture of quality road construction in the State, adding that the government was ready to build roads that would stand the test of time.

According to the statement, the present administration in Oyo State has a 20-year plan for road sustainability in the State.

The statement also revealed that Governor Seyi Makinde has also given approval for reconstruction of failed hydraulic structures in different geographical zones across the state.
