EKO HOT BLOG reports that Seyi Makinde, the honourable governor of Oyo State, has announced his desire to seek re-election to a second term.
This was announced in Makinde’s bi-monthly newsletter, which was sent out to subscribers on Thursday evening.
According to him, he promised in my last newsletter that he would decide whether or not to run for government again by the time he sends out his next letter.
“I picked up the Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for a second term as Governor of the good people of Oyo State sometime last week.”
“Yes, I’m presenting myself for service once more.”
“In the previous three years, Oyo State has seen tremendous progress in all areas with no zone left behind.
“We have put in a lot of effort in all four pillars of our Roadmap for Accelerated Development in Oyo State 2019-2023.” “We’re creating a modern Oyo State.” But, as any engineer will tell you, our job isn’t done until all issues have been resolved.
“We feel we have created a solid foundation for resolving the issues of bringing the noble people of Oyo State out of poverty and into wealth.”
