Male Student Commits Suicide After Girlfriend Jilted Him

A male student has committed suicide after his girlfriend broke up with him in Anambra.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the victim, final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra drank poisonous substance when he could not bear the news of the break-up.

According to reports, the victim (name withheld) was undergoing his Industrial Attachment (IT) when he was jilted by his girlfriend. He was supposed to be preparing for his graduation before the incident happened.

The deceased was described as an intelligent student who was full of life and energy. He was also said to be on the distinction grade point.

According to a source, the final year student of Public Administration undergoing his IT decided to try falling in love but the outcome ended his life.

“His girlfriend recently broke up with him and the news devastated him, and on Friday, when he could no longer endure it, he drank a brand of insecticide and died,” the source said.

Although as at the time of this report, the Public Relations Officer of the institution, Mr Chijioke Ibeziakor, said the incident has not been reported to his office. He promised to alert the public once he is aware.
